Rev. Raymond Greene, Jr., the executive director of BLOC, brings 11 years of experience to his role. Raised in Akron, Ohio, by Gwendolyn Haslem and Raymond E. Greene Sr., his strong family values laid the foundation for his success. Early in his career, Greene honed his skills by hiring and training over 2,000 individuals in direct sales through canvassing across several major cities. Leveraging this expertise, he built the largest voter registration team in the nation, successfully registering over 300,000 Black voters between 2012 and 2018. Prior to leading BLOC, Greene held various leadership positions at the Ohio Organizing Collaborative and Black Fork Strategies, including Volunteer, Team Lead, Office Manager, Deputy Director, Political Director, and Organizing Director. These diverse experiences were crucial in developing his strategic thinking and leadership capabilities.
